Famously Hot South Carolina Pride & Richland Library are excited to partner together to present OUTTalks, where members of the community can share their unique LGBT experiences and how they got to where they are in life. Topics can include self-discovery, family relationships, gender expression, or any subject matter relating to life as a LGBT individual.

If you would like to nominate yourself as a speaker, please complete the following application. Be sure to review everything before submitting the form. Each submission will be reviewed by leadership from Famously Hot South Carolina Pride & Richland Library.

About the Event

Modeled after TED Talks, this event focuses on giving speakers the opportunity to tell their unique LGBT stories to an audience of more than 75 people. Each speaker’s time will last between 20 to 30 minutes, and a total of four volunteer speakers will be selected for the event. Presenters can use presentation software and materials if they would like; a microphone and stand will be provided. Each speaker’s presentation is up to review by South Carolina Pride & Richland Library to ensure the topics being discussed coincide with the missions of the two parties.

Speakers chosen for OUTTalks will be given a time to practice in the Richland Library space. Speakers are expected to arrive no later than 5PM on October 1 for OUTTalks. For further questions regarding the event, feel free to reach out to SC Pride Secretary Hunter Harley at secretary@scpride.org.
